Louise's B/day 2014

My post for today is the card l have made for my special friend that l meet up with at my local
craft shop on demo days.
The main card is a 8 x 8 white square card, and the background was made using some of the
paper from the most recent ultimate pack of Docrafts- l then cut out a doily using one of my
newest Tonic dies. I also used another border die for the ribbon border that is down the left side,
also topped with a slither of the papers on top. The decoupage topper for the centre is also from
the same kit, as is the letters for her name. The butterfly is cut from another of my Tonic dies.
I thought that this design would be quite appropriate as she makes loads of cakes.

Pampering

For todays card l chose a 6 x 6 white scalloped edged card, and the base matt is made from a
piece of lovely lilac pearlescent card and l put it through my Cuttlebug, using one of the corners
that come with the collection of embossing plates when l bought it. I then made the topper using
the freebies that were with the latest Creativity mag. Giving it a bit of a twist with the frame,
then placing the main topper within. Finished off with the two small tags. This would be ideal for
any aged female.

Little Claire-April 14

This is a project from the Little Claire Club, which l have subscribed to, everything comes included
to make a card, a nice quick and easy project this time.
This has quite a comical flavour about it, as we all know at times we can feel quite "rubbish", and
l think sometimes we need a bit of a cheer up, this is quite self explanatory really so l won't bore
you with the details for making it.

Lilac flower box

For todays post l have chosen one of my favourite projects at the moment, the folding boxes...
for this one l chose the shades of Lilac, think it is one of the most chosen colours on my craft
stall, Once the box is made it is quite easy to decorate to your own chose, think that this is one
of the things l like about these boxes, you will probably see many more in the weeks to come,
sorry if it becomes boring.
Many thanks for visiting my blog and please feel free to leave any comments.

Garden Shed

The card for today is made from a white A5 landscape fold, and l chose to use a kit that was free
with the latest Creativity Magazine. Choosing blue for the main background and some floral paper
that l found in my stash for the next layer, then using most of the die cuts l layered slightly off set
Didn't really think that this card needed much more so just added the small tag and attached some
gardeners twine and a couple of silver candy.
Think that this would make a lovely card for a dedicated gardener.

Garden Seat

For a change l chose to use a 6 x 6 card for this design,....
layering some beige card for the main background to pick out some of the colour in the main image,
these were a few toppers that were left over from one of my other cards, which no doubt be posted
here soon. l don't like to waste anything but think we are all the same,  finished of with some gardeners twine, and a sentiment...Simple but quite effective.

Beautiful Florals

The card for today is an A5 landscape size.....
The base card is white, and the main background l chose some very pale green card and embossed it
using my medium dotty folder, then going through my stash l chose some different shades of green
to enhance the main topper. Cutting two different widths strips and placing them each side of the
card, l then placed the toppers to co-ordinate with each other, finishing off with a dark green bow.
I think this card would suit any occasion.

Art Deco box

Hi there everyone
This is a complete change from my usual posts,
This is one of the boxes that has been seen recently on Create and Craft  and l chose to use images
from one of my recent kits, the Papermania Art Deco.
Using the smaller of the toppers for the pop-ups, and added black and white feathers, then some of
the others for the sides and flaps....nothing else to explain really as the picture shows it all.
I also made the other design shown below, these l took to my recent craft stall as a trial, and both
sold straight away, so will be making some more with different designs, tho the Art Deco are hugely
poplular.

Vintage Wine

For the card for today l chose this one, its a decoupage one....
The main card is a white A5, landscape card, and for the main background l chose to use some gold
mirror card, then the colour l chose for the main matt is a purple colour, pearlescent card and l used
the stitch in time embossing folder. The topper was from a kit, which l decoupaged, and placed over the multi-coloured ribbon that l had previously placed before fixing the main matt. The tag was cut
using one of my dies, out of the same mirror card.
Hope you like this one, would do for anyone who loves wine.

Tempus Fugit

Now this card is a very different one for me.......
Hey, its a different size too......
Starting with an A5 white landscape card, and used a very pale lemon almost cream base card
for the background, then embossed with the large dotty embossing folder and tinted with both
Scattered Straw and Peacock Feathers distressed inks. For the three toppers l used some of my
chipboard and using the same colours l made the background on them, then stamped the images
in black, tamped an extra watch and cut it out for and extra embellishment, attaching some twine
onto it, also found some cogs in my stash, inked those with the Peacock Feathers colour, placed
them each touching, then added the watch and twine. I was quite pleased with the finished card,
Hope you have liked what you have seen, thanks for visiting my blog, any comments would be
appreciated..

Silver Wedding

Hey....guess what,....here's another 6 x 6.......
For this one l solely used dies, .....the main background is silver pearlescent card, then the main matt
was white, then another matt of the same silver pearlescent, and once again another white matt.
The corners are from a Spellbinders collection, and the centre-piece is the very first freebie from
Tattered Lace, ...on the magazine.
Once they were all cut out this was a very simple card to design.

All a Girl needs

This card is quite a change, as l used some toppers found in my stash......
Once again l started with a 6 x 6 card, but chose black this time.....the main background is silver
pearlescent card and l embossed the corners with one of my embossing folders. I then cut different
sized matts in black and layered with some very pale cream which l had also embossed using my
Cuttlebug collection. Placing them randomly, and fixed the toppers onto these, and ideal card for
a fashion conscious female, hope you agree.
Thank you for visiting my blog, would love to hear your comments.

Blue Shoes

For my card today l chose to use one of my Tattered Lace dies.....
The main card is a plain white 6 x 6 card, l seem to be using this size more these days...
The main background is pale blue and l embossed with small dotty folder, then inked
around the edges with Faded Jeans distressed ink, before attaching l wrapped some lovely
blue ribbon over each corner. The centre piece is out of a recent collection from Papermania,
named Parisienne Blue. l cut out two of the shoes from some blue pearlescent card, trimmed the
little flowers off, these l attached to the top right corner, finished off fixing a bow of a little darker
blue.

Mum's canvas

Now today l have chose to post the canvas l made for my Mum for Mothers day, this is my second canvas and l must admit it is very pleasant to do something different. The canvas is 6 x 6 and although it doesn't show very well in the photo, l tinted it with Scattered Straw distressed ink very lightly, then l stamps some flowers on, and also used the lattice mask and inked again over with the same colour, this gave a little more intensely colour. The topper was also stamped with the Scattered Straw and l used Wow embossing powder, then using one of my Spellbinders Gold dies cut out the shape, and coloured the edges. The three flowers l made by using the stamps and same method that Sue Wilson does, l love to make my roses this way, they were then glittered of course, and after attaching two swirls in a very pale cream, the roses were too. The two dragonflies were from My Craft Studio quite a while ago, they are shaped when using heat gun.
I do hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, any comments would be welcome...Thank You.

Humming Bird

My card l have chosen for today is made from a 6 x 6 white base card, l then chose pale blue card for the main background and embossed the corner using "Regal Corner" folder. I had found within my stash the semi-circle shape and thought that it was just the thing l needed , so this was attached on the left side. The topper was made by using the brass stencil that l have used previously, and after the paste had dried l coloured the image, this was then matt and layered onto some darker blue card, using my Tonic layering dies, these are so useful and as you can tell l use them a lot. All this card needed then was the blue organza ribbon for the finished effect.

Easter Treats

Now these are completely different......The top picture is of some little baskets that l have made that has small chocolate eggs and a little white bunny in, the second picture is of some little "Egg cups" that go over Cadbury's Cream eggs, these were knitted from scraps of wool and the googly eyes were from my stash.  Think they are quite cute and am sure that they will be successful at my stall at my local hospital next week....and hopefully top up my charity pot.

Perfume Collection

Hi there,
This card is quite different from the previous one, l do like to use various techniques, this one is a decoupage image that was included in the Ultimate pack from Docrafts Papermania, collection is called Bellisima, these packs are brilliant in value and include many papers, decoupage, toppers, borders, and also alphabets. So getting back to this card l started with a A5 landscape white base card, used one of the papers, ran it through my Ebosser with the medium dotty folder, punched the corners, and then tinted the edges with Worn Lipstick distressed ink. Attached the decoupaged topper and frame then tucked the little "With Love " tag, job done, and a lovely card that would suit any age.
