18th Birthdays

On Saturday it is my twin grand-daughters 18th birthday, so needed to do something special for them, and this is what l made.....
l chose to do easel cards, and used some Hunkydorey card that l had recently purchased, blue for Abi and a lovely pink for Rose. The images are from Debbi Moores C.D....Garden Fairies.
To finish off l used my Cricut machine to cut letters for their names and also the 18 numbers.

I do hope you have liked what you see, and many Thanks for visiting my blog, any comments are welcome.

Embossed Flower

Hi there,

Hey,  l really am doing well with my blog don't you think......

This card came about as l was crafting with my buddies on Skype, and Sheila and myself decided to make a card using one of the "Keepsake " boards. Now this was so very different, and l found it very difficult to get going, but anyway here is the finished card.
The base card is a lovely pink,  A5, and portrait. I embossed the flowers onto the front, then l embossed the same flower, twice and cut the base one out within the box and then cut the actual flower out from the other. The edges were trimmed with silver border peel-offs, and then l used some glitter gems for the centre. Finished off with some Organza ribbon and two lovely corner peel-offs.
Many Thanks again for visiting my blog, any comments are welcome.

Vintage cars

Hi Everyone,

Hey l am really on a roll here comes another male card......

This time l started with a brown pearlescent base card, A5, portrait, this was quite a quick one really, as it is mostly using a few scraps.  The base matt was some distressed looking paper, and l stamped different text on, sorry it doesn't show up in photo very well, l then put it through with an embossing folder, the wood grain design, the other two pieces were also scraps from another card. The two cars were cut using another Marianne die, and afterwards l sanded back to give some more detail. This was then finished off with some card candy.

Many thanks for visiting my blog, please leave any comments you may have.

Motor Bikes

Hi there everyone, hope you are all well,

Here's yet another male card, l really am on a roll aren't l.........
The base card is yet another A5, but landscape this time, and is white.
Starting with a blue base matt, then once again from my stash l found these papers that l thought would tone in nicely. I cut them into two squares and matted onto some silver pearlescent card. The stamped images are used from some stamps that l have had a while, coloured them with my usual pens, cut out using my Spellbinder dies and inked with toning colour. Before attaching l wrapped some bakers twine around the lower square, and once both were in place l put three blue candy in top left corner.
Any comments would be welcome, thank you for visiting my blog.

Cool Pint

Hi, hope you are all o.k..
For the card today l have chosen to make with the men in mind, for a change, think we all struggle with this theme.
Starting with a white A5 portrait card, and out of my stash l found these different patterned papers all with the beige and brown tone.  The base matt is some light brown mulberry type paper, and the other was two strips, so l inked the edges with Frayed Burlap distressed ink to give some lift, then for the toppers l used my Tonic layers dies, embossed the top one and added the text tab., and the other l chose to use a stamp that had been "forgotten", coloured with my Promarkers and Spectrums. It doesn't show very well in the picture, but l used my glossy accents to coat the glass of beer, and the beer pump head.
Many Thanks for visiting my blog, please feel free to leave your comments.

Sympathy card

Hi Everyone, here's my card for today,

This card is a 8 x 8 shaped white base card, the main matt is cut from my Grand nesties, and then l ran it through my Ebosser using a swirl design folder, and the smaller matt l cut using my Xcut dies, and just embossed the top left corner and left the other blank. The cross that l used was l believe one of Marianne dies, l backed it with some black card and just trimmed leaving a very small edge showing. Finished off by cutting out a swirl and two butterflies also in black, of course any colour can be used to suit the occasion.
Thank you for visiting my blog, any comments are welcome.

You're so Tweet easel card

Hi Everyone, hope you are all well,
Hey guess what here's yet another blue card, l really must get my head around another colour.....
I decided to make an easel card this time, using the Little Claire stamp set again, as this is another sample for My card creations I started with a white card, and used some blue gingham paper for the main matt, stamped out the image and coloured to tone, used my Xcut die for the rectangle matt and cut the paler one out using the method that has been used on the tele by different demonstrators, by cutting a circle out then using a border punch, cut the edges, therefore making a doily, but cut into two so as to make it visible underneath. l then made a strip for the stopper, topping with the "You're so Tweet" banner, finished off with a couple of flowers using my petal pears and some silver leaves.
I do hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, any comments are welcome...Thank You.

Skateboarder

Good Morning everyone, hey don't you think l am doing well, lets hope l can keep it up.......
For a change this card is a black, A5 landscape base card, and in my stash l cam across these different papers that toned together nicely, so l trimmed them all and matted onto black and silver card, also wrapping a piece around to simulate a belt and added a buckle cut from one of my dies.  The image is a digi-stamp, and coloured in greys to come in line with the colour theme, l then used the method of out of the die to finish off the topper, added two lots of black candy to make the balance, this again is a sample for My craft creations....please take a look.   Many thanks for visiting my blog, any comments you have would be gratefully received.

Tracy's Birthday

Hi Everyone, hope you are all busy crafting
This is a card l made for my friend who works in my local craft shop, so thought this would be quite appropriate.     The card is another blue base card.....think l've got my blue head on at the mo......
l ran a small portion of co-ordinations card through using my Button folder and then sanded back to reveal the lighter blue.  The topper is a stamp from the Flipping range, and was coloured in using once again both my Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs, then was matted onto some silver mirror card.
The embellishments were made by using the Xcut die set, this was then finished off with the banner using my Spellbinders.  Thank You for visiting my blog and any comments would be welcome.

Party Oldtimer

Hi Everyone, here's my card for today
This one is a blue pearlescent base card and is A5 and landscape.
For the matt l stamped balloons over using 2nd and 3rd impressions and also a few of the word, Party...l then passed it through my Ebosser using a music embossing folder, and then using faded jeans l inked over to bring out the embossing better. The image is a digi-stamp and using both my Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs l coloured it, mainly keeping the blue theme. The bunting was from another stamp set which l had forgot about but am sure you will see it again sometime...I matt and layered using my Xcut dies and made a banner out of the wording, using a cocktail stick.  This is another sample for my friends blog....My craft creations ...please take a look at the lovely prizes you can win.  Hope you have liked what l have posted, any comments gratefully received....Thank You.

You're so Tweet

Good Morning everyone,
I have now started to schedule my blog, so as to keep it up to date.
This card started as a 6 x 6 white square card, and searching in my stash l found these two pieces of off cuts and thought that they suited the main topper. l matt and layered the lighter of the two onto black card so to match the plain black piece, punched the four corners to give some lift. The stamp that l used for the topper is from Little Claire designs, as l was asked to make some samples for my friends blog challenge.... My craft creations, please take a look as she has some lovely prizes....
l used my Tonic layering dies to do the three layers, finished off with the text banner also included in the stamp set.  Many thanks for visiting my blog and hope you like what you see, any comments would be welcome.

Purple and Black Boot

Hi Everyone Hope you are all o.k.
My card for today is one of a few l have found in my ever growing stash, as probably you are with me with this.....It is a A5 portrait tri-folded white card with the aperture already cut with the boot shape, for Iris folding.  The colours l chose. l thought, would be ideal for both male or female. It was rather difficult to decide how to finish off the front of the card, l chose to use some of my peel-offs, both to use as a frame and also to imitate some studs on the base of the boot.  Added Happy Birthday also as peel-offs.
Thank You for visiting my blog, any comments greatly appreciated.

Flower Girl

Hi......Now l am spoiling you all, here's another Parchment card.....
This is another 6 x 6 square pale blue base card, and a darker blue for the next matt.
The Parchment image is l do believe one of Christine Coleman's patterns, once again it is mainly embossing, the background around the little girl has been coloured using the pastels and blending liquid. The edging has been done using what they call a Sun tool and then perforated and cut.
To attach to the card l used a small star brad in each corner.
This card could be used for any person or occasion l think.
Many Thanks for visiting my blog l do hope you have enjoyed what you have seen.
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Parchment Boddice

Hi you crafty friends,
Now this card is a real change, l will admit it is one that l have done a while ago
As Parchment takes quite a while in doing, and plus with my recent fall l haven't been able to do any.
It is a 6 x 6 white base card, and the base matt is matt silver. I can't remember whose pattern l used, but if anyone is interested l could go through my library of patterns to see.
It is all white and mainly embossing, with a simple little edging. It is done in three pieces then attached to the card. Using some silver eyelets for the fastening, and laced up with some white satin narrow ribbon. I used some peel-offs for the sides to mask any surplus glue showing.
This is a lovely card ideal for weddings etc.
I hope you have enjoyed this different post, any comments are very welcome, Thank You

You're one of a kind

Good Morning everyone,   hope you are all busy crafting,
My card for today is a smaller one for a change, a 5 x 7 landscape.
The base is Green card for a different start, and l then found some black and white hounds tooth style paper out of my stash, cut it into two matts and placed on opposite corners. The stamped image is one
of Crafters Companion Swalk range l believe, coloured with my Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers and then used my Spellbinders to cut as a topper, inking the edges with a toning green. Finished off with the banner and three card candy.
Many Thanks for visiting my blog l do hope you like what you see, any comments are welcome.

Native Indian

Hi Everyone, here's my card for today,
I started with a White A5 landscape card, using stamps l stamped the background in different shades of gold's using first, second and third impressions. Using my spellbinders l cut the aperture, then cut again for the main centre piece, inked the edges with the same colour too. Before l cut the smaller aperture l stamped the Indian image and used the out of box technique again colouring with the same toning colours. Finished off with some toning grograin ribbon.
Many thanks for visiting my blog, any comments you have would be welcome.

Hi Everyone
This is quite a change for me from card-making.....
To start with this calendar l found in my stash some chipboard shapes, so choosing this one l covered the front with some striped paper, made some toning flowers, using my much used stamps from Creative Expressions, then from some silver mirror card l cut the other embellishments using my D.Lite dies.....used my black Spectrum Noir l coloured the edges....added the calendar....then threaded some black ribbon through the two holes for it to be hung....job done....
Many thanks for visiting my blog, l do hope you like what you see, any comments would be gratefully received....

Butterflys and Flowers

Hi everyone,
Please accept my apologies for not blogging for such a long while, my injuries from my fall are now well on the way to full recovery thankfully.
For this card l chose a 6 x 6 scalloped white base card, then used some lovely blue mirror card for the main matt.  Thinking to do something different, l chose to use parchment paper, using one of my Tonic dies cut the main image - gosh l do love Tonic - before attaching to the matt l embossed further from the back of the topper, the leaves and also used my sun tool to put detail in the flowers, sorry this doesn't show very well in the photo. Then once again using my Tonic punches, l punched several flowers, once again embossed more on the reverse, layered two together and attached to the card.
Finished off using blue gems for the butterfly heads and the flower centres.
Hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, any comments are welcome....Thank You
