Golden Wedding

Hi everyone, its getting even closer to christmas now, hope you've all done the shopping etc.
This card is made from a gold mirror 6 x 6 card and l made the main background with using my
Martha Stewart stamp around the page stamps, something else l haven't used very much, stamped
with Versamark ink and embossed with fine detail gold powder, stamped the text the same way,
and then used my Spellbinders/ Marvelous Squares dies to complete the topper, using gold mirror
for the lower layer. Topped off with the gold organza ribbon completes this card, ideal for Golden
Wedding anniversary.  I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at my blog, and like what you see.
Any comments are very welcome...Thank You

Calendar wallets

Hi everyone hope you are all getting ready for Christmas, it won't be long now.
Thought l would make a change from posting cards, these are some little wallets l've made
for my craft stall. I got the idea from a Demonstration l attended recently, with the dimensions
l used, its possible to make two out of l piece of A4 card,... four score lines and job done except
for the matting and putting toppers on. I used some from, the Art Deco kit l purchased from
Hunkydory, then added a little notepad and calendar, l think it makes a lovely little gift, ideal for
handbag or pocket.
Hope you like this, and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Christmas Humphrey

Hi everyone, where have all the days gone, there just doesn't seem to be 24 hours in them anymore.
This was a quick card l made from a topper that l had in my stash.  Started with an A5 white card, used a green stripey paper for the first matt, embossed some co-ordinations green card with leaves
and then sanded back a little then using a glue pen l edged the leaves with glitter, cut around some of the leaves to enable to tuck the topper under at different areas, matted both onto some red card and added a sentiment, there it is complete, as l said nice and easy.
Many thanks for taking a look at my blog, any comments you have would be appreciated.

Opening Presents

Hi everyone, goodness has it really been a week since l last blogged, this must be put onto my New Year resolution, " l must blog more often"
This is, yes, you have guessed, an A5 landscape blue base card, the main matt l made myself by stamping loads of snowflakes and embossed with a silver sparkle embossing powder, and then inked
the edges, the stamped image is one of Sheena Douglass's  and coloured with both Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers. I then cut out with one of my nesties and also a blue matt too, inking the edges once more. Stamped the greeting and attached, added a couple of gems, and hey presto it was complete.

Christmas is coming

Good morning everyone, hey l am doing well keeping up with my posting, l have a little more time at the mo as my next booking isn't til 18th December for my stall.
Right, this is an A5 landscape card, and l chose a pale blue pearlescent one as the base, l then chose a toning shade for the matt and embossed the corners with my Cuttlebug master collection. The stamped image is one of Sheena's, A Little Bit Festive, and l used watercolour card and my Whisper pens, it was a nice change, using my nestie l cut leaving the edge of the tree out of the box so to speak.  I hope you have enjoyed looking at my blog, any comments are welcome. Bethan

Good Morning everyone, l am making an early start today, as, like everyone else l am very busy,
Christmas coming and all that.
This card was made for my grandson's girlfriend, Bethan, whose birthday is today, l am sure she won't mind me posting it here.  I started with an A5 white card, landscape, then used one of my embossing folders for the main matt and inked the edges with Milled Lavender distressed ink, then punched a ribbon out of the same card and matted onto black. The stamped image was from one of my magazines, sorry can't recollect which, coloured with my Spectrum Noirs, cut with a nestie, and also cut a matt in black too. Cut three different circles, also matted onto black after following thro the tinting on the edges, finished off using my Cricut to cut her name out.   I was quite pleased with the finished card and hope that you agree.   Many thanks for taking a look at my blog, any comments are welcome.

Carol singers (Sepia)

Hi, hope everyone is o.k. today,
This card is an A5 portrait card, and l used backing paper from one of Thomas Kinkade C.D.'s
l then stamped out the Pilkington Lane carol singers, l know, l used it on my last one but love it as it
is a lovely scene, used a sepia coloured ink pad and just slightly dragged a hint of colour, and used
some crystal glitter to highlight snow.  Using one of my nesties, cut it out and also matt it onto some
gold mirror card, embellished with my mistletoe and greetings dies in gold again.
Many thanks for taking a look at my blog, any comments welcome.

distressed ink colour Barn Door, and attached to the inside edge. l embossed the red matt using my
cuttlebug master builder, holly corner, the stamped image is one of Crafters Companion, Humphrey

Andrea's 40th

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying your crafting, here is my latest card, once again one l was commisioned  to make.
The person it was for is a strong Liverpool F.C. supporter, last year l made one football themed, although she is female.  So this card is kept to the team colours, an A5 landscape scalloped card, inked with Worn Lipstick distressed ink, and the image was a Strawberry kisses stamp from Crafters Companion, coloured with my Spectrum Noirs, and then cut with a die shape, and once again distress
inked on the edges, the large matt of co-ordinations card was embossed with my new 8 x 8 folder of large dots and sanded back. Once again l used my Cricut machine for the letters and numbers. Her Mum who ordered it was very pleased with it and l do hope you like it too.
Many thanks again for taking a look at my blog, please leave any comments.

Louise & Clive's Wed.

Hello everyone, here's another card l made for a friends wedding in September.
It is yet another 8 x 8 white scalloped base card, l used blue card for matting and layering as she got married in blue, and was butterfly themed, thus l chose to use an embossing folder for the topper which had the scrolls and butterflies, l used Frayed Burlap distressed ink to enhance the scrolls and also the car, which is l believe a Marianne die, l put two pieces of blue card into the same folder, just where the butterflies are, then cut them out to embellish. The letters were cut with....yes you've guessed it , my Cricut machine.
Many thanks for taking a look at my blog, hope you like what you see.

Silver Wedding

Hi everyone, sorry its been a while since l last posted, have been rather busy replenishing my stock for my next booking for my craft stall.
I made this card for my son and his wife for their silver wedding, it is a 8 x 8 scalloped white card, and embossed Centura white pearlescent with my new 8 x 8 swirl embossing folder and matted this onto silver mirror card. I then used my dies to cut the hearts, embossed the silver with a dotty folder, and topped with another heart cut from the same pearlescent card, wrapped a ribbon around, added a bow with a silver glitter gem in the centre. The numbers and initials were cut with my Cricut machine. They spent their anniversary in Tunisia, but were chuffed to bits with it when they returned home, and said they were going to treasure it.
Hope you like what l have posted and please visit again....Thank You

Sea-life card

Hi everyone, this is my latest card, the stamps l used are the ones from the September issue from Dimension Stamps project club, starting with an A5 landscape white base card, matt and layered with black, for the next layer l chose an aqua colour and stamped with the reeds and put thro my new 8 x 8 embossing folder of large dots. Then stamped and coloured the images and cut out to place around the card to creat an underwater scene, finished off with the text also from the stamp set. Could be quite useful for someone who has an aquarium.  Hope you like what you see and thank you for taking the time to take a look at my blog, all comments are welcome.

Rambling Rose

This card is a 6 x 6 and made from a lovely bronze pearlescent card.  Using Creative Expressions, Rambling Rose stamp set, l stamped the rose image with Pumice Stone Distressed Ink, and coloured with my Faber Castell pencils, also stamped the rosebud and coloured in the same way, l then cut out the bud with my spellbinders and also a matt with the same bronze card. Also stamped the leaves with the same distressed ink, coloured once again, and cut out to use as decoupage.  Making three tags with the words and leaves from the same set, l edged all these with my Promarker Gold pen to give a faux matt finish. To complete l punched a ribbon out of vellum, topped it with a spare piece of the bronze card, and placed a toning bow on the corner,

Xmas Popcorn

Hi everyone, here's my first Christmas card for this year.  This is a 6 x 6 card and l matted a blue paper from my stash, the image is from yet another magazine, Papercraft Essentials Issue 85, it is of course Popcorn all dressed up as Santa, which was free with the mag. l stamped and embossed onto watercolour card, and used a combination of Whisper pens and Aquamarkers, then added crystal glitter onto the "fur", then using my nesties cut it out and using the same nestie for the blue matt and twisted this just to show a small amount, having inked the top layer with Faded Jeans distressed ink. Added the message and also a few snowflake peel-offs to complete the card.

would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You card

This is a complete change for me with this card, firstly it is a 6 x 6, and is made from inspiration of the magazine, Cardmaking and Papercraft. As probably we all do, buy mags and if you are like me after reading, the get put aside, so l have made a decision to go thro them and use the stamps that are included, so this is my first one.....l started with plain lilac matt, then used free paper (that was included), then stamped out the image onto watercolour card, yes you heard right, watercolour! using my Whispers pens, coloured the image, then matt it onto pink card, added toning ribbon, and text embellishment off the same set of stamps. Finished off with faux stitching.  Hope you have enjoyed taking a look, and hope you like what you see.  Any comments are welcome, Thank You

Rubys Rainbow challenge

Hi here is my latest card and l have chosen a scalloped 8 x 8, l inked the edges with Worn Lipstick
distressed ink, the backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's "If Flowers could Talk", and l chose the verse from that C.D. too, printed out in word onto card and cut out using Spellbinders, Decorative Labels 8, also inked those edges with the same colour. I then made a triple bow with green organza ribbon, added 3 flowers made with Creative Expressions stamps and edged with Crystal glitter. The spray that is emerging from the flowers is a Marianne die, and once again tinted with the same colour. To finish off l added 3 toning pins, and pink and green gems in the corners. I have made this
card to enter into Rubys Rainbow challenge, Bingo theme and chose Gems, Flowers, and Pins.

Hi everyone, don't be shocked l am posting again, told you l was going to try and post more often.
Anyway to the card, this is surprise suprise, an A5 portrait card, and l embossed the base matt with
my Dotty embossing folder and then used a pretty frame embossing folder for the second matt, then used large Persian motifs spellbinder for the topper, and inserted their names. To take off the intense
white l placed some tiny flowers. The banner at the bottom of the card is embossed with "on your special day", and l attached with some pretty ribbon.

Craft Stall

Sorry to not have posted as often as l would like, but have been, once again very busy, l know its no excuse really, but was Mum's 90th birthday and also my daughter-in-laws 50th, its been a really hectic month. I hope that what l  have posted is acceptable, they are what l have been working on for my stall at my local hospital. I was asked if it was possible for personalised baby garments, so got my brain in gear and came up with these. I used various c.d.'s and printed onto transfer paper, was a bit of trial and error but once l had a practice run, finally got it to perfection. I then set about making matching cards, and also gift bags, as suggested by my friend Sheila and priced up different packages etc.
I hope that you have enjoyed taking a look at my blog and if you have any comments they will be gratefully received...Thank You

Portabello Road

Today l have chosen a card l made a while ago, and surprise its a 8 x 8 square, l do try to made different sizes card but seem to get back to either A5 or 8 x 8's.
Anyway, back to the design, this was made with the Papermania Urban stamps, and are very useful for male cards, which we all find difficult l think. I covered the whole card with some of their backing paper from a pad l purchased at the same time of the stamps, then l stamped the three embellishments onto black card and embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut them out and placed where l needed them. Finished off with two buttons with some twine tied within them.
I do hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, and please leave any comments...thank you.

Finished it off with a slither of the co-ordinations from the earlier matt and topped with a red ribbon to co-ordinate.  Hope it was worth the wait and promise to update more often.  Many thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and any comments would be much appreciated.

Elegant Lady

I have looked through my stock for this card, and was very pleased with it at the time so thought l would share it with you. Back to my A5 size, and the base card is a linen effect gold card, the stamped image is one of KanBans, elegant ladies l believe.- the screen is stamped onto white card with black and embossed, l coloured random flowers with a Sakura gold pen to tone in. The lady and parasol is stamped onto acetate that l had applied on the reverse with PVA glue, ink and gold flakes, left to dry. I then stamped the image onto white card, coloured her face and arms, and then  attached the dress, hat, and parasol cut from the acetate, -l layer of decoupage if you like - then all this was cut out with one of my dies, and finally attached the cut out screen that was matted onto gold mirror card.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at this latest publication on my blog, and visit again soon, any comments will be welcome...thank you

Floral Chic

This is a card l made from new stamps l recently bought, and thought l would make it an 8 x 8 this time, another change of size. I started with a scalloped 8 x 8 card as the base, then used two contrasting papers from my mountain of stash, sorry l cannot remember where they are from, (really must make more notes) i then matted and layered on both red and green paper to give definition. The stamped image is from HunkyDory stamps, named Floral Chic, l cut out the butterflies and used Collall glue to give them dimension, used glitter glue for butterfly trails. The corners are from the Craft Geek collection, then l finished off with the Best Wishes text.    I am really pleased with this card and think it might be used as my daughter-in-laws birthday in September...l have entered this card in the following two challenges rubysrainbow, paperpretties.many thanks for taking a look at my blog would be interested to hear what you think of it.

This is something different from my usual cards, it was a special order for a friend,l am sure she won't mind me showing you. I started with the base card using Crafters Companion's Centura white pearl, embossed it with a dotty embossing folder, then folded it into an easel card. I then used my spellbinders, Persian Motifs for the photo's and Moroccan Accents for the border, mounted the border onto some red mirror board, and foam pads to raise for the stopper for the easel.  Finished off with a verse inside and a box, also trimmed with red.   I really enjoyed making this, it was a nice change from the traditional card.  Hope you enjoyed visiting my blog, any comments welcome.

Wedding Card

Hey guess what?...l'm back to an A5 card,  This is obviously a Wedding card, the base card is white, l then inked the edge of the large matt with Victorian Velvet to tone with the red in the border and topper. I once again used my Craft Geek for the border at the top and bottom, the main image is the stamp set from Dimension Stamps, and was the June collection from the project club, of which l am a member. I stamped the cake stand onto satin finished silver card and embossed with Gold lustre powder, l then stamped out the cake itself onto white card, also the bride and groom, then coloured with my Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers. I have yet again changed my card size, rather than sticking to A5, which is my usual size.
This is a 6 x 6 square card, l inked the edges of the white base card with Distressed Ink colour of Peacock Feathers, a lovely turquoise shade, l then used some yellow card from my stash, and also cut two pieces of both Lemon and Turquoise card and embossed, using yet another gadget/ the Cuttlebug embossing all in one set. The Morehead image of "Boy" is coloured in toning colours, l then used one of my Spellbinders, and cut him partly out of the shape, a process l like doing, and once again inking the edges with the same peacock feathers and Squeezed Lemonade ink. Finishing the card with a couple of Card Candy, makes it a card that can be used for any age group and occasion.   I hope you like this card and continue to watch my blog for further designs.   Thank You

Leanne's 21st

Hey this is a change, l've made this card a 8 x 8 scalloped one, for my grand-daughters 21st birthday, l used Milled Lavender distressed ink around the edge of the main base card, l then made a background by stamping onto white card, using a floral stamp repeatedly with Brilliance pink ink.
The stamped images are Hunkydory Floral Chic stamps, coloured with Spectrum Noirs to tone with pink and lavender. I then used my spellbinders to cut out the shapes and inked the edges with once again the Milled Lavender, and layered onto some lavender card. To finish off the card, l used, don't die of shock, my Cricut machine to cut the 21 and also cut shadow out, really must get using my Cricut more now.  Hope you like this card as much as myself, l am really thrilled with it, and l am sure she will love it too.....Many thanks for looking at my blog, any comments accepted.

Cheers

This is once again an A5 card, l do seem to like working on this sized space.  I distressed the edges with Spiced Marmalade ink, found a piece of toning paper in my stash for the next layer, then once again used the same colour ink to edge some white card. And guess what? l found some more card
that was a toning colour that is corrigated for the top layer. The stamped image is from Dimension stamps, it was the July project, from their project club, of which l am a member. I embellished with
shrink plastic cherries, also included in the stamp set.  Finished off with three card candy.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at this blog, and happy to receive any comments.   Thank You.

Quick Decoupage card

This card was a "quickie" as l did not realise it was Jess's birthday, (my grandsons girlfriend),  l found that l had this decoupage, which is very pretty and glittered. I chose a turquoise base card and
used pink and whitewash co-ordinations card, put through a flowery embossing folder and sanded back to reveal the white, and used one of my Martha Stewart punches for the border, added the decoupage and text tag, and also coloured letters with my Spectrum Noirs to form her name. Very quick but quite pretty, hope she likes it.
Many thanks for taking a look, any comments very welcome.

Using Craft Geek with Amy

I used a white A5 card for this design, and incorporated the Craft Geek, which l bought a while ago, using the Winter season design, l used two shades of Green, and then Red for the hearts.  Matt and layered both times with red card to tone with the hearts. The image is a digi-stamp, "Amy", sorry l don't remember where l got it from, coloured with combination of Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers- they work well together.     This card could be used for Anniversary, Birthday or any occasion really.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at my blog, this is really new to me, hope to get better as time goes by.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Crafty trio

This card I made as a challenge with my two friends Kandis and Sheila. To start off Sheila chose the backing paper and layout and we all were too make a card with those choices. For my design I matt  the chosen backing paper onto my base card leaving a border. My two smaller matts were cut out of contrasting card and one layered with the same backing paper as placed onto the base card and then layered onto the card. I stamped my image and coloured before using a nestie die and inking the edges. Finally to finish I put on my topper and used twine, card candy and a sentiment to embellish. To view Kandis card click here and Sheila's click here
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog x

Josh

My base card is A5 and I started by placing a blue matt onto it leaving a small border. I then placed my chosen backing paper onto the first layer again leaving a small border. The smaller matts are done in the same way, I feel this creates dimension to my cards. Before placing them onto the card I used twine as an extra dimension. After stamping and colouring my image I cut around the wheels of the bike and placed my die over the top leaving the wheels outside the shape. Once the shape was cut I used a distress ink to colour the edges of the shape, and to finish I used some contrasting card candy.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog, any comment are greatly appreciated x

Christening wish

I was asked to make a christening card and thought white on white would be the ideal way to go. I started with an A5 base card and used my all in one embossing folder to emboss lovely ornate corners on my first layer. My second layer I used a scalloped oval die to create the aperture and trimmed it to make a frame, I then put the frame through the grand calibur with a dots embossing folder for a more dimensional effect. For the stamped image after stamping and light colouring I used a die shape ensuring to leave part of the image outside the die shape to create the final look. To finish I added a simple sentiment
