Confectionery Cart

Hi
Here's a project l recently did for my grand-daughters Wedding.....this is the very first time l have worked on this kind of thing.
The cart itself came just plain white as photo below......
it was quite daunting at first, but l started by making the canopy using some purple organza off the roll, machining it onto some tape, gathering as l was sewing, thank goodness for my machine.... l then attached onto the top section using my staple gun, this was a boon for this job. I bought some cheap fairy lights and draped those in a scallop, also a Mr. and Mrs. bunting. For the rest l continued with the different ribbons and bows draping around the up-rights and the wheels. Topping it all off with some pull-bows attached both on the wheels as well as the rest of the cart. My grand-daughter and new hubby were chuffed to bits with it, as did many guests as they visited for their sweeties.
Thank you for visiting my blog, will look forward to your comments.

Leanne & Todd's Wedding

Hi there,
My post for today is the card l made for my grand-daughters wedding, yesterday.....
As her colour was Cadbury Chocolate purple l kept this for the backing for the heart, this is one of my Spellbinder dies. The card itself is a 6x6 white linen card, matted onto the same purple, then the top matt was embossed with the corner design. The text is Tattered Lace dies, and then l completed it with the gems. Inside l made a pocket on the lost leaf as they had requested Thomas Cook travel vouchers for presents, which l thought quite sensible as they have already got their home up and running.
Many thanks for stopping by, please leave your comments l do enjoy reading them.

Tilly Daydream

Hello everyone
As Autumn seems to be on its way l thought that this card is quite appropriate...
This is a complete change for me as regarding the size etc. l have chosen a white scalloped DL card,
l then chose the two backgrounds, one with leaves on and the other a lovely light beige pearl card and ran this one through my Ebosser with the leaves folder to compliment it. The topper is a lovely decoupage of Tilly Daydream kicking up the autumn leaves, finished off by tucking some die-cut leaves underneath. I left the space at the side as l quiet often get asked at my stall for either age or name on, l have learnt now to leave space for this.

Baby's cot

Hi there, my blog for today is a little different once again....
As you all probably know by now l have a regular booking at my local hospital for a stall selling my cards and gifts to raise funds for local charities so l won't go on about.
These have been very popular, and have made them both in pink and blue, and am going to try a neutral one too this time.
My very good friend Sheila cuts these out for me using her Robo, then sends them to me for me to decorate and make up to my own requirements. The photo is really self explanatory, and l buy the tiny teddies so as to place one in the corner, adding a small tag for sentiments to be written on.
I do hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, please feel free to leave your comments they would be very welcome.

Thank You heart

Hello everyone, here's my post for today......
My friends Mum was very good and knew that l had been looking for hearts to decorate and sell at my Hospital craft stall, and she found these and bought some for me, l offered to refund her the money spent but she wouldn't hear of it and asked for one when l made it up, so this is the one l made for her......
As the base heart is brown MDF product, l first painted with some white acrylic paint, l then inked and embossed some flourishes with some glitter embossing powder. Once dry l inked the inner and outer edges with Faded Jeans distressed ink, then fastened some ribbon across the centre. The flowers were a selection that l made from both using dies and paper clay, as is the Butterfly, and of course a little of glitter found its way there too. Attached the ribbon for hanging purposes, and the gift is finishes. I have heard since that she was over the moon with it, and is now hanging up in her craftroom.
Many thanks for stopping by my blog, love to hear your comments.

Mum's Birthday

For todays post l have chosen the card l made for my Mum, she was 92 years young, and still loves to make her cards, which she donates to the local Hospice.
The dies l used were from Tonic, and l decided to make a A5 gate fold card in the lovely shade of purple pearlescent card. I attached a separate butterfly on the girls hand, and the corners l used were Spellbinders. Below is the inside, and l placed a verse on the back of the card for me to sign for her.
I do hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog, please leave your comments, Thank You.

Lemon Baby Pop-up box

Hi, Here's my post for today.......
I have made quite a few of these pop-up boxes, and sold them at my regular craft stall at my local hospital, last time l was asked if l could make baby themed ones, so this is my first one for this theme. The pop-ups were cut using my Cricut machine and the New Arrival cartridge, this one l have borrowed from my friend, Sheila. Everything is self explanatory so l won't bore you all.
Many thanks for stopping by my blog and look forward to reading your comments.

Kandys birthday

Hello folks, hope you are all busy crafting, maybe started your Christmas cards too....
This was a special card made for a friend of mine, and as she absolutely loves flowers this is my card l made for her. The card itself is a 8 x 8 scalloped edge white card and the background is a pretty turquoise colour, which l embossed using my Floral Vine folder. this was matted onto a very pale turquoise to give a little lift. The verse topper is one of Tonics which l thought was quite appropriate l then got started on the flowers. These were cut from different shades of turquoise and l used both the Michaelmas Daisy and the Lacy Marguerite Daisy of Tattered Lace designs. The Happy Birthday was also Tattered Lace, then l finished off placing the pearls within the centres of the flowers.
Thank you for visiting my blog l will look forward to reading your comments.

Lantern cards

Good morning folks, this is my post for today.....
For these l used one of Hunkydory kits, l find that this is an ideal way to have a break from designing cards and can be quite refreshing.
As these were from a kit they were obviously pretty easy to do following the instructions, l put my own design onto the front of the boxes using the "waste" from this set.  There isn't really much more l can say about these, but they do make up to nice gift/cards.

Cheryl's Birthday

Hi there everyone.....here's my card for today....
This one was made for my daughters birthday at the beginning of the month, she was 50 years old,....she will kill me for posting her age.......
The main card is a 8 x 8 square white card, and the main matt is gold mirror card, the another matt of white, with the corners rounded off. The centre was cut out using one of my many Tonic dies, and chose to use the perfume bottle as the embellishment, trimming with the gold also. The flourishes were also in the gold to compliment the whole design. I placed the 50 onto the bottle, then cut her name out using my Cricut machine and shadowed also with the gold.
Thank you for stopping by my blog, looking forward to your comments.

Lisa's 40th

Hello there everyone,
My card for today is another one that l was commissioned to make for my daughter's boss, these special orders are coming quite regular at the moment, thankfully for my charity.
His request was for.... bright colours, doily, age, pinks and purples and of course her name, so this is the finished card.
The name and age was cut using my Cricut machine, and the flowers were made using my Tattered Lace dies, the doily using my Tonic dies, so quite a collection of dies were used, which is good.
I think everything else is self explanatory, and he was very pleased with the finished card, and actually gave me more than priced.....for my charity.... which this year is the Air Ambulance, for which l was very grateful.
I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog and thank you for your comments that l hope you will leave.

Maureen's birthday

Hi folks, here's my card for today....
this was made for one of my friends that's within the group that meet up at our local craft shop for demonstration days.
For the main card l chose a white base card, and after folding the front into half back on itself l used a border punch to achieve the border. l then chose the pretty pink card and after embossing with the ever popular dotty folder l inked the edges lightly. for under the front fold l found some lovely pink floral paper and attached that to give a little lift. The topper was cut from one of my dies and then the beautiful floral decoupage was attached. I finished off this card with a few of my silver peel-offs in the corners and the swirls. And of course couldn't leave off the butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog look forward to reading your comments.

In the Pink

Hello there, hope you have all steered clear of this bug that's going around, l'm back to normal now thank goodness.
This card was made for a sample to send to Tattered Lace, as an entry for being on their design team, but alas l wasn't successful this time .......
The main card started as a A5 landscape white card and the background is some pink pearl card and l ran it through my Ebosser using my every popular dotty folder. The stamped image is one of Sheena Douglas designs, and was coloured using my Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers, and afterwards cut out using one of my many dies. The lacy corner is one of Tattered Lace, as is the flower arrangement in the bottom left corner. Finished off using a small Tonic butterfly and Tatt. Lace text.

Poppy Easel card

Good morning everyone,
After having a severe Tummy bug, and not crafting for a few days, l chose this card that l made a week or so ago.
This was a very quick and easy card and was made from contents of a kit from Flower Soft.
I decided to make an easel card for a change and just matt and layered the topper onto toning colour card for the easel part, and instead of adding all the decoupage onto the main image l used some for the stopper. The friend text is one of my many stamps and chose to stamp it in the red and clear embossed it.
Hope you have enjoyed stopping by my blog and please leave your comments, thank you.

Lavender Box

I have made quite a few of these boxes in many different styles and designs, for this one l chose to use the colour lavender, and found this lovely floral card within my stash,
These boxes are quite easy once you have made one, and can be adjusted in size to suit your needs, as l have some candles that l purchased recently that are in glass containers, l sized this one for this purpose. For the main box it is a piece of card that is scored to make a four sided structure, and then to main is a piece that is scored to make a base, back, and top.. All is left is to decorate it.
Below is a view of the inside.
